Congratulations Rebecca Mood and Michael Rockwell
After growing up together and becoming best friends, Becky and Mike made their dream come true April 23, 2016 as they exchanged their vows in marriage. The reception was held at Meier Hall on the Elmira College campus on a cool, but sunny April afternoon. The bride and groom wanting to start the reception off with a little fun, requested WWE Turn It Up (Bayley) by CFO for Introductions. Then after dinner, to announce their first dance, the couple described the unique circumstances of how they were able to obtain the acoustic version of "Invincible" by Tonight Alive for their reception. Tonight Alive, an Australian band, played a meaningful part of the couple's relationship and the acoustic version of Invincible was the song that they kept coming back to as they searched to find the perfect song that represented their relationship. However, the acoustic version of the song was not available in the US. So Mike took a chance and Tweeted the lead singer of the band, Jenna McDougall, who then emailed the bands manager, Pete, asking if there was any way to help our couple out. Pete graciously provided Becky and Mike with a high quality acoustic version of Invincible to play as their first dance, free of charge. Thank you Pete and Jenna! The couple followed their fist dance with the Father/Daughter dance "The Best Day" by Taylor Swift and "My Wish" was played for the Groom and his Mother's dance. The couple requested a variety of music for dancing the night away, including Oldies, 70's, 80's, Classic Rock, Top 40 and Pop. They also requested a couple more songs from Tonight Alive including "My Favorite Thing" and "Safe and Sound" which thankfully were available through iTunes.
